LIDO BEACH, NY — A late afternoon accident caused a slowdown on Loop Parkway, but the lanes have since reopened.

All lanes were blocked in both directions on the highway, just in time for the evening rush, from Lido Boulevard to the Meadowbrook Parkway, 511 reports.

The crash was noted as of 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Drivers were told to use Wantagh Parkway south to Ocean Parkway, and then head for the Meadowbrook.
