Long Beach Branch, Buses Adjust Times For Major LIRR Schedule Changes

LONG BEACH, NY — With the Long Island Rail Road opening full access to the Grand Central Madison on Monday, the City of Long Beach is making changes for commuters.

As the LIRR provides new schedules systemwide, Long Beach is adjusting times for its buses.

Among the changes on the East-West Loop, residents can expect the 5 a.m. bus will depart the station 4:45 a.m.

The 5:33 a.m. will depart at 5:15 a.m., while the 8:30 a.m bus is getting canceled. In the evening rush, among the adjustments, the 7:15 p.m. bus will now leave the station at 7:05 p.m.

The LIRR will offer a dozen morning trains on the Long Beach branch and 11 trains in the afternoon. That is an increase for commuters by two in the morning and three in the afternoon.
