Scaffolding Accident Sends Construction Worker To Hospital

LONG BEACH, NY — A construction worker was injured on Tuesday morning when he fell from scaffolding.

The Long Beach Fire Department responded just after 11 a.m. to 100 East Broadway.

The man, who fell approximately 12 feet, was semiconscious when firefighters arrived, the Long Beach FD posted to Facebook.

He was taken to Mount Sinai South Nassau for evaluation, but it was not apparent of any broken bones, a city spokesperson said.

Along with firefighters, Long Beach police and the Buildings Department were on scene.
