Long Beach Easter Egg Hunt Back On This year

LONG BEACH, NY — After canceling the event last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the City of Long Beach is once again hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt this year on Saturday, March 27. But you have to register in advance to participate.

This year's egg hunt will be held from between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the Recreation fields on Magnolia Boulevard, and the bay next to the Long Beach Ice Arena. Registration must be done in advance at the Recreation Center. There will be no day-of registration.

Space is limited, but still available. So register now to save your spot.

Masks will be required for everyone, and temperature checks will be conducted. When you register, you will receive a wrist band that you must bring to the event. Children 3 and under may be accompanied by one adult. Bags for collecting eggs will be provided.

The egg hunt will be broken up by age group:

  • 3 & Under Group 1 - 9 a.m.
  • 3 & Under Group 2 - 9:30 a.m.
  • 3 & Under Group 3 - 10 a.m.
  • 4 Year Olds Group 1 - 10:30 a.m.
  • 4 Year Olds Group 2 - 11 a.m.
  • 4 Year Olds Group 1 - 11:30 a.m.
  • 5 Year Olds Group 2 - Noon
  • 6 & 7 year Olds - 12:30 p.m.
