Proposed Long Beach School Budget Has 1.5 Percent Tax Levy Increase

LONG BEACH, NY — Residents in Long Beach will go to the polls on Tuesday to decide on the 2024-2025 school budget.

It's a projected $155,946,049 revenue with a tax levy increase of 1.5 percent.

This year's proposed budget would be an increase of $4.3 million.

Proposition 2 on the ballot is for Capital Reserve Fund Expenditure not to exceed $1.360 million for various projects, including replacing the turf field, windows and interior doors at Long Beach Middle School.
