Long Beach's 2018 Fireworks Extravaganza

The annual spectacle is set for Friday, July 6 this year.

The annual Long Beach Fireworks Extravaganza is set this year for Friday, July 6, so make sure you're ready.

The fun will kick off at 3 p.m. with multiple food vendors lining up on the boardwalk and serving up tons of tasty options.

Then, at 8 p.m., the real fun begins, with a concert by BonJourney, a Bon Jovi/Journey tribute band. The concert bandwagon will be set up on the Long Beach Boulevard Beach. Make sure to bring a chair or towel for the sand, or get there early to find a spot on the boardwalk.

Once the sun goes down, the fireworks start. This year's show is presented by Bay Fireworks. The pyrotechnics will go off from a barge in the water, lighting up the beach with a fantastic show. Viewers should be able to see the fireworks along the entire boardwalk and beach.

Parking is likely to be very limited, so residents are encouraged to carpool or walk to the beach if possible. Otherwise, get there early to reserve your spot.
