LONG BEACH, NY — A social worker from Long Beach took on the energetic, two-day Jeopardy! champion Yungsheng Wang. She appeared on the July episode from the Alex Trebek stage.

Alicia O'Hare, who wore green glasses, told host Mayim Bialik that as one of five siblings, her father would have a bedtime routine with the children.

"He sang a song with our names in it," O'Hare said. "My oldest sister is Michelle, so it was the Beatles' Michelle (My Belle)."

The pattern continued for the other siblings, although her father reworked lyrics for a brother and sister to include their names.

"But when it came to me, for whatever reason, he couldn't find something that worked," O'Hare said. "So he made one up out of whole cloth and sang it. There's no one else in the world who has it."

As for the game itself, O'Hare was a worthy adversary. She led after the Jeopardy round with $8,600, to Wang's $6,400.

However, she trailed Wang by $1,000 heading into Final Jeopardy. All three contestants got the correct answer, leaving O'Hare at $24,400, parlayed into a $2,000 second-place finish.

Wang not only got it right but wagered more than $17,000, giving the Los Angeles public defender a three-day total of $84,000.
