Loop Parkway Shutting For Several Nights Of Road Repairs
The lane closures are scheduled from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting on Monday.
POINT LOOKOUT, NY — Drivers should be aware of an overnight traffic change on the Loop Parkway.
Beginning on Monday night, Nov. 14, the parkway will be shut in both directions throughout the week. It will resume during the week of Nov. 28, the state Department of Transportation said.
All lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for rehabilitation of the drawbridge over Long Creek.

Signs are posted for a detour between Long Beach and Long Island's mainland using the Long Beach Bridge via Long Beach Boulevard from Island Park.

Drivers are also reminded by the D.O.T. to use caution in work zones. Fines are doubled in work zones.
