Man Critically Injured In North Long Beach Crash

The man was crossing a street when he was struck by a car, police say.

NORTH LONG BEACH, NY — A man was critically injured in a North Long Beach crash on Wednesday, Nassau police said.

The man, 59, was walking across Austin Boulevard near Florida Avenue when he was struck by a 2012 Honda Accord driven by a 46-year-old woman at 9:09 p.m., police said.

The pedestrian was listed in critical condition at a local hospital, police said. The driver remained at scene. No other injuries were reported, police said. Detectives are investigating.
