Minimal Outages On Long Island From Nor'easter So Far: PSEGLI

UNIONDALE, NY — The forecast was calling for the worst of this storm on Tuesday morning with the heaviest rain and strong winds crossing Long Island.

But the power grid was impacted minimally.

As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, there were just 43 outages affecting 639 customers across Nassau and Suffolk counties, according to PSEG Long Island's website.

That means 99.94% of the system remains on line.

A flash flood watch remained in effect through Tuesday afternoon on Long Island.

Bracing for the Nor'easter, PSEG LI said they conducted system checks and would be prepared for the storm.
