More Than $2,000 Stolen From Nassau Smoke Shop: Police

The man, who fled the Austin Boulevard shop early Sunday, is sought by police.

ISLAND PARK, NY — A smoke shop in Island Park was burglarized early Sunday, police said.

A man broke into E Smoke & Beer on Austin Boulevard just after 3 a.m. Surveillance video showed the man used a rock to smash the front glass door, police said.

The man unlocked the cash register and stole $2,350, and left with more cash located in the tip jar.

He fled through the broken door in an unknown direction.
