Raay-Nor's Fried Chicken Returns To LI — For A Limited Time

The classic chicken, enjoyed for decades, will only be back for two weeks, so get it while you can.

Raay-Nor's famous fried chicken is returning to Long Island this summer — but only for two weeks. And there's going to be a special of 1949 prices to celebrate the return.

The chicken will be appearing as a pop-up restaurant at the Malibu Shore Club, located in Lido Beach at 1500 Lido Boulevard. Guests will be able to enjoy classic fried chicken, biscuits, corn fritters and more. All of the recipes are the original recipes that Raay-Nor used for years, back when it was located on Sunrise Highway in Baldwin.

In addition to the chicken, there will also be bottles of Raay-Nor's authentic salad dressing that guests can purchase, as well as T-shirts for the restaurant.

The chicken will be available from June 1 through 15. And on June 1, to celebrate the return of the tasty chicken, the restaurant will be offering a return to 1949 prices. Guests will be able to get 50 cent chicken and 25 cent pie, but only for a limited time.

"Raay-Nor's chicken is part of our history," said Mookie Wilson, who helped the Mets win the 1986 World Series. Wilson and his former teammate Doc Gooden were on-hand to help launch the return of Raay-Nor's, which they enjoyed when they were playing for the Mets in 1986.

"I wish I could say that Raay-Nor's chicken will make you hit harder, run faster," Wilson said. "I can't make that promise. But it will satisfy your craving for good fried chicken."
