Registration Open For Town's First Co-Ed Volleyball League

Start practicing now, because both competitive and recreational games begin in May.

Grab your flip-flops and start practicing your serve. Because while it may still be winter, registration is now open for the Town of Hempstead's first-ever co-ed beach volleyball league, which will begin at Town Park Point Lookout in May.

“I am so proud to be launching this fun new activity that will keep residents healthy and fit, in my district,” said Councilwoman Erin King Sweeney. “What says summer on Long Island more than a great game of beach volleyball?”

The 10-week program is open to all Town of Hempstead residents, 18 years of age and older. Games will be played in the evening at Town Park Point Lookout. Co-ed teams of four and six players are welcome. There will be both Tuesday and Thursday leagues and both competitive and recreational divisions are available. Each player will receive a T-shirt.
