Run DMC's McDaniels To Perform With Local Group In Long Beach

LONG BEACH, NY — It's a throwback night at the Long Beach Library.

Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC will take part in a special talk and performance Saturday, Jan. 7.

While the 200 seats filled up within an hour, the event can be streamed live on YouTube.

The 90-minute event also features local Long Beach kids' band Deez Guyzz.

McDaniels, a.k.a. DMC, will appear at the library, to talk about his legendary hip hop career, working with Aerosmith on the cover of "Walk This Way" and growing up in Queens.

McDaniels is expected to perform a few hits, including "It's Tricky" with Deez Guyzz.
