Scott Donaldson, Longtime Long Beach Resident, Remembered

LONG BEACH, NY — Scott Donaldson, 45, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Scott was raised in Union Vale, NY, where he was the star quarterback of the Arlington High School football team.

He went on to play college football, graduating from Marist College with a business degree. Scott then settled in Long Beach.

It was there that he met his beautiful wife, Tracey. Together, they have a son, Colby, who was the light of Scott’s life and his very best friend.

Scott was a local member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians and was active in the community.

Scott loved life and his outgoing personality is the reason that he made friends everywhere he went. His easy smile and business acumen led to a successful career in international freight. He enjoyed fishing, football, golf, spending time at the gun club in his hometown and coaching all of his son’s sports teams.

Scott lived life to its fullest and had recently moved his family to Viera, Florida. They had only just begun their new adventure when his family suddenly lost their hero. Scott is survived by his wife, Tracey Donaldson; his beloved ten-year-old son, Colby Donaldson; his brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Karen Donaldson; his sister and brother-in-law, Erin and Mike Wynkoop; his nephews and nieces, Joey, Kaylee, Olivia & Wyatt; and his Mother-In-Law, Arline Krimko. Scott is predeceased by his parents, William and Sylvia Donaldson, Father in law Mel Krimko, and sister-in-law, Jodi Krimko.

A memorial service was held on August 24 in Island Park.
