Stop & Shop Thanked Nurses at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital By Hosting an Ice Cream Social for Nurses Appreciation Week

Stop & Shop brought its freezer section to the nurses at Mt. Sinai South Nassau today – providing an ice-cream cart full of frozen novelties such as sundae cones, strawberry éclair bars, frozen fruit bars, ice cream sandwiches and Greek yogurt bars. The 1,500 frozen treats were given out in the hospital’s main lobby when the nurses changed shifts.

Stop & Shop is saluting the 1,000 nurses who work at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital during Nurses Appreciation Week. The hospital says since the start of the pandemic they have treated more than 6,000 patients for COVID-19, currently there are fewer than 10 patients being treated for COVID at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital.

Stop & Shop says it is honored to recognize the men and women of Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital who have done so much to care for Long Islanders in need during the pandemic.
