LONG BEACH, NY — Grab your blanket or beach chair for free concerts in Long Beach.

Each Wednesday night, starting on July 5, hang out at the beach while enjoying some tunes.

The Summer Concert Series kicks off with the sounds of Reggae and Calypso, when "High Tide" performs at Neptune Boulevard Beach.

All shows begin at 8 p.m.

July 12: Zydeco, Boogie & Blues with T'Bazco Road (Riverside Boulevard Beach)

July 19: 1950s and 1960s Doo Wop with Joey & The Paradons (Grand Boulevard Beach)

July 26: Classic rock/pop hits from the 1960s and 1970s with Turnpike Joe & The Traffic Jam (Grand Boulevard)

Aug. 2: Southbound performs Country (Riverside Boulevard)

Aug. 9: Desperado Ridge hits the stage with its tribute to The Eagles (Neptune Boulevard)

Aug. 16: It's the ultimate dance and disco party with Vinyl Revival (Neptune Boulevard)

Aug. 23: Mean Machine calls themselves an explosive party rock cover band (Riverside Boulevard)

Aug. 30: Pure McCartney performs from the Beatles and Wings catalog.

All concerts are scheduled weather permitting.
