Wet, Mild Week In Store For Long Island

There's a chance of rain nearly every day this week, and temperatures aren't likely to break 60 degrees.

LONG ISLAND, NY — If you were enjoying last week's clear skies and warm temperatures, this week may be disappointing for you. Long Island is in for a week of mild temperatures and rain, according to the National Weather Service.

According to the NWS, high temperatures this week are going to peak in the high 50s, but not break 60 degrees. Nighttime lows will be in the low to mid 40s.

Tuesday is forecasted to be sunny and mostly clear, but the rest of the week looks to be overcast, with a chance of rain just about every day.

Tonight: A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly before 3 a.m. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 46. Northeast wind 8 to 10 mph.
