17-Year-Old Driver Killed In Seaford-Oyster Bay Crash: Police

The driver lost control on Tuesday morning and slammed into a tree, police said.

NORTH MASSAPEQUA, NY — One person was killed in a crash Tuesday on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway, Nassau police confirmed.

The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was not identified by police.

All lanes were closed for several hours on the highway at Exit 5 (Route 107).

Just after 10:30 a.m., a 2019 BMW was found by police on its side after leaving the roadway at the northbound exit ramp and slamming a tree in the woods, police said.

The 17-year-old driver was the only occupant of the BMW, authorities said Tuesday evening.
