LONG ISLAND, NY — Amazon is hiring of workers across New York City and Long Island this year as it ramps up for increased shopping and shipping during the holiday season.

Amazon is seeking to fill 150,000 seasonal positions across the country. According to Newsday, that includes 1,800 in New York City and Long Island. Amazon said the jobs have an average starting pay of $18 per hour and sign-on bonuses of up to $3,000. Some may earn an additional $3 per hour depending on the shift.

According to the company, the positions include stowing, picking, packing, shipping and more. All Amazon facilities follow strict COVID-19 guidelines, the company said. You can apply at www.amazon.com/apply.
