Arrest In Connection To Drug Overdose Of Massapequa Resident: Police

MASSAPEQUA, NY — A man was arrested over the weekend in connection to a non-fatal overdose last week in Massapequa.

Daniel Garcia, 27, of Wyandanch, was charged Saturday evening, Nassau police said.

Subsequent to the arrest, detectives recovered 2 clear plastic bags containing a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine and 10 blue oxycodone pills believed to contain fentanyl.

Garcia is charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was expected to be arraigned on Sunday.
