A Change

Of Plans

There are compensations for everything in life.

When and if God allows me the time to cast another vote, my choice will remain hidden on an absentee ballot. I have no intention or desire to discuss my selection of a candidate or challenge and/or ridicule another’s.

Still apart from political affiliations, the past week of staccato news flashes, has been traumatic. I have returned to constantly waiting, watching and wondering about new updates. I admit I I have been literally glued to the direct TV above my round green table since Friday, July 12.

I have abandoned the various soothing, nightly streaming choices on Netflix, Amazon and a long time favorite PBS.

Obviously, I feel strongly about the responsibility of every citizen to be informed about candidates and issues before casting a vote. Yet there is also the danger of over saturation, and I may be close to that line of demarcation.

However, I believe I have done my civic duty this week. Now despite the ominous red flash that still constantly appears on the bottom of my TV, I plan to return to the somewhat antiquated mysteries available on Acorn and Britbox.

Once again I can silently cheer for the hero, weep for the victim, and wend my way to bed for a good night’s sleep.

Somehow after watching the commentaries, opinions, and alerts. that aura of relaxation evades my world.

However, now once again I will enjoy Netflix, Amazon and Apple TV (at least until August 19 when the second convention begins) but

Of course, if there are more updates, I may need to change my plans.
