Concert, Fireworks To Celebrate America In Massapequa

MASSAPEQUA, NY — There's another celebration to mark Independence Day in Massapequa. On Tuesday, July 11, the Town of Oyster Bay is hosting "Salute to America."

The free concert and fireworks take place at Tobay Beach starting at 7:30 p.m.

A performance by Journey tribute band "Any Way You Want It" opens the evening's festivities, followed by the dazzling display lighting up the night sky.

Fireworks are presented by Grucci.

"Salute to America is a great opportunity for families and seniors to enjoy a free evening of music and entertainment while celebrating our freedoms in America and the veterans and active duty military who secured our freedoms," Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino said.

Concertgoers are urged to bring folding chairs and pack a cooler. Reserved parked and easily accessible restrooms will be available for disabled guests, the town said.

The rain date is July 12.
