Free Haunted House Returns To Massapequa On Weekends Through October

Located on Virginia Avenue, the scary showcase takes place in the garage and in the backyard.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — It's the season for ghostly good fun! Halloween is definitely in the air at one Massapequa home.

Called "The Haunting on Virginia Avenue," the free-of-charge showcase is open to the public starting on Oct. 6.

This is the third year that the residence is transformed into a haunted house.

Taking place in the garage and backyard, "you will twist and turn down dark corridors, explore ghastly graveyards and traverse dark forests," homeowner Mike Impollonia said.

Live actors are part of the scares, but Impollonia said, they will not make contact with visitors.

The house, located at 80 N. Virginia Ave., is open every Friday and Saturday in October from 7-9 p.m. It will also be open on Halloween.
