Drivers heading in that direction will be able to follow a detour from Exit 32S, wich will take them to the southbound Route 110, to westbound Sunrise Highway, then back north on the Wantagh State Parkway to reconnect with the westbound Southern State.

Motorists should follow a posted detour that starts at Exit 32S and utilizes southbound State Route 110, westbound State Route 27 (Sunrise Highway) and northbound Wantagh State Parkway for access to westbound Southern State Parkway.
