LONG ISLAND, NY — A quick-moving storm may leave an inch of snow on the ground to start Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for western Suffolk County and all of Nassau County due to the snowfall, which could be fast and heavy. The exact area of snowfall is still unknown, though, and may bypass Long Island entirely.

Otherwise, the rest of the week is looking to be sunny and mild, with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s all week. Wednesday and Thursday will be breezy.
