LONG ISLAND, NY — Long Islanders can enjoy a warm and mostly-sunny Presidents' Day weekend.

Temperatures over the three-day weekend will be above average, with some spring-like days to make things even better.

Friday's rain will clear up in the evening, and it will be clear for most of the weekend. Rain may return Sunday night, but will clear by Monday morning.

Temperatures will be near 60 on Friday, then drop to the low 40s on Saturday. But temperatures will increase over the weekend, going to the high 40s on Sunday and to the low 50s on Friday.

Friday: Showers likely, mainly before 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. Breezy, with a northwest wind around 21 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 7 p.m. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 27. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Blustery, with a northwest wind 13 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 43. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Northwest wind around 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 34. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48. South wind 7 to 15 mph.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42.

Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34.
