LI Weather: Warm, Sunny Weekend, With Possible Snow On Monday

Temperatures will be warm and skies clear most of the weekend, but the week may have a gloomy start.

LONG ISLAND, NY — After a spring-like Friday, temperatures across Long Island will drop, but still be above seasonal norms.

Temperatures on Friday will be in the 60s, according to the National Weather Service, with clear and sunny skies to boot.

Things will cool down over the weekend, with temperatures dropping to the mid-40s Saturday and Sunday, but skies will stay clear most of the time.

There's a chance for rain Sunday night, and a slight chance of snow showers and rain Monday morning. But those should clear by the afternoon, leaving sunny skies and temperatures near 50 degrees.

Friday: Sunny, with a temperature falling to around 52 by 5 p.m. West wind 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northwest wind 13 to 16 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 43. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Northwest wind 8 to 16 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Southwest wind around 7 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: A 50 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36.

Monday: A chance of rain and snow before 8 a.m., then a chance of rain between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 48. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
