LONG ISLAND, NY — Long Island is in for a lot of different weather this week: rain, snow, sun and high temperatures are all in the cards.

Weather will alternate between rain and snow, and clear skies. A mix of rain and snow Monday will give way to a clear and sunny Tuesday. Up to an inch of snow could fall Wednesday, which is expected to be washed away by rain later that night and into Thursday.

Things should clear up by Thursday morning and stay sunny through the weekend.

Temperatures will be above average for most of the week, according to the National Weather Service. That will help the snow that will fall to not stick.
