Massapequa Community Mourns Coach Joseph Laudisio

The beloved and respected Little League coach died suddenly on Jan. 1. He was 42.

MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY — The Massapequa community is mourning the loss of Joseph Laudisio, and is coming together to support his family.

Laudisio died suddenly on Jan. 1 at just 42 years old. He left behind a wife and three children.

He was well known as a coach for local baseball teams, and coached the South Shore Chiefs.

Laudisio is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and his children Antonella, Joseph and Gia.

A wake for Laudisio will be held at the Massapequa Funeral Home North Chapel, located at 1050 Park Blvd. in Massapequa Park, from 5-8 p.m. on Jan. 7, and 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Jan. 8. A funeral Mass will be held at Maria Regina Roman Catholic Church, located at 3945 Jerusalem Ave. in Seaford, at 9:45 a.m. on Jan. 9.
