Massapequa School Budget Passes By Wide Margin

MASSAPEQUA, NY — Massapequa residents headed to the polls on Tuesday as school budgets were on the ballots.

The Massapequa School District 2023-2024 $227,752,358 budget passed, 1,708-747, the district announced.

Proposition #3: Using expenditures, up to $1.3 million, from the existing capital reserve fund, passed by a vote of 1,945 to 457.

Cher LePre (1,748) and Danielle Ocuto (1,839) were elected to three-year terms with the Board of Education.

The Massapequa Library budget passed, 1,821-579. Gail Kubit (1,502) was elected to the library board.
