Oyster Bay Summer Concerts, Movies No Longer Drive-In

TOWN OF OYSTER BAY, NY — The Town of Oyster Bay's summer concerts and movies are no longer drive- in events, so those planning to attend should bring chairs and towels for sitting.

The town made the announcement Wednesday. Due to new CDC guidelines, the events no longer require guests to remain in their cars, and can instead sit on the sand at TOBAY Beach. The "Movies by Moonlight" will also be held in the usual manner.

The 2021 concert series starts on July 6, and are free for the whole family. Admissions is open to town residents and starts at 7 p.m. each day of a concert. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Residency will need to be verified for entrance. Most of the concerts begin at 8 p.m., and movies begin at dusk.

Here's the full schedule of concerts. The schedule is subject to change, and the shows will be held depending on weather.

  • July 6: The Marshall Tucker Band
  • July 8: Bonjourney NY, a tribute to Bon Jovi and Journey.
  • July 10: New York Bee Gees Tribute Show
  • July 13: Salute To Veterans, featuring Lee Grenwood (begins at 7:30 p.m.)
  • July 15: Gentlemen of Soul, performing hits from Stevie Wonder, Kool & The Gang, The Jacksons, Prince and more.
  • July 17: Jim Morrison — 50 Years Later
  • July 20: Sir Elton, an Elton John tribute featuring Lance Millard.
  • July 22: Breakdown, the ultimate Tom Petty tribute band.
  • July 24: Disco Unlimited.
  • July 27: Mike DelGuidice and Big Shot, celebrating the music of Billy Joel.
  • July 29: ZBTB, the Zac Brown Tribute Band.
  • July 31: CSN Songs, celebrating the music of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
  • Aug. 3: Celebrate America fireworks, featuring the Rock This Town Orchestra.
  • Aug. 5: Dr. K's Motown Revue
  • Aug. 7: Strawberry Fields, the ultimate Beatles tribute band.
  • Aug. 10: Wonderous Stories.
  • Aug. 11: Completely Unchained, the ultimate Van Halen tribute band.
  • Aug. 12: Shining Star Tribute, New York's No. 1 Earth, Wind and Fire tribute band.
  • Aug. 14: Decadia, the 80's and beyond.
