MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY — The Massapequa Park home of Gilgo Beach serial killing suspect Rex Heuermann got a surprise visitor on Saturday, according to reports.

Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, drove up and asked an officer how close he could get to the home while it was being searched, TMZ reported. Giuliani, never stepping out of the car, soon drove away.

Giuliani was there to cover the Gilgo case for his new show, Ted Goodman, Giuliani’s political advisor, told The New York Post.

"Mayor Rudy Giuliani—one of the most effective federal prosecutors in American history — was on scene to cover this heinous crime as part of his hit new livestream show, 'America’s Mayor Live,'" Goodman told The New York Post. "The mayor commends all involved in the case, but knows there is still work to be done in order to deliver justice."

Heuermann was arrested Thursday in connection with the deaths of sex workers Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman and Amber Costello, whose remains were found along Ocean Parkway in 2010, according to court documents.

Heuermann was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded without bail.

Since 2010, at least 11 sets of remains have been found, believed to be related to the Gilgo Beach killings. Police have searched for a serial killer ever since. At least four of the killings included strangulation, and two showed signs of blunt-force trauma. The cause of death remains inconclusive for some victims.

Investigators reportedly found a child-like doll at the architect's home and searched two Amityville storage units in connection with the Gilgo Beach killings.
