OYSTER BAY, NY — The Town of Oyster Bay has announced a new initiative to enhance inclusivity at town parks.

Designated public restrooms at Allen Park in Farmingdale, Burns Park in Massapequa, and the Town Ice Skating Center in Bethpage now have adult changing tables.

“Our goal is to make Oyster Bay's parks more inclusive for everyone," Supervisor Saladino said. “By adding adult changing tables to our public restrooms, we are ensuring that individuals with disabilities, their families, and caregivers can enjoy our parks with dignity and ease. This is just one of many steps we are taking to create an environment where everyone feels welcome."

Along with the adult changing tables, several town parks offer playgrounds and swings for people with disabilties, and communication boards that help children play with speech and language barriers.

Healy Beach. All installations have been funded through the Nassau County Community Development Block Grant Program.
