Veteran Massapequa Science Teacher Takes On Administrative Role

MASSAPEQUA, NY — A veteran science teacher in the Massapequa School District is taking on a new role at Massapequa High School.

Michael Brzezinski has been named an executive assistant to Principal Barbara Lowell. He starts the position on July 1 with the retirement of Michael Quigley.

Brzezinski has been part of the district since 2005, when he joined Berner Middle School as a science teacher, before moving to the high school a year later.

He has taught biology, anatomy, physiology and marine sciences.

"My goal is to support the students, teachers and all of the other stakeholders in our
community," he said. “I will bring a collaborative and cooperative approach, and will have an open-door policy."
