Woman Seriously Hurt, Struck By Car In Massapequa: Police

MASSAPEQUA, NY — One person was badly injured when she was struck by a car in Massapequa.

Just before 4 p.m. on Sunday, a woman, 58, walking to her parked car on Merrick Road near Unqua Road, was hit by a 2022 white Nissan Rogue, police said.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital where she is in stable condition, authorities said.

The 78-year-old female driver was taken to a hospital for minor injuries. Police are investigating.
