An afternoon of summer fun celebrating the beauty and ecology of our local pollinators! Bounce along in the Butterfly Wagon, passing field and forest (4–6 p.m.). Enjoy free butterfly-themed activities, crafts, and games, and bring cash (preferred) or credit card for face painting, the Stony Kill pop-up shop, and food trucks (4–7:30 p.m.). Bring lawn chairs and blankets, and prepare to dance along and enjoy a relaxing evening of free live music with The Big Band Sound (5:30–7:30 p.m.).

We invite you to share a meal with us and meet our Kadampa Buddhist community! For only $7$ (or $5 pre-booked), you can enjoy a delicious meal with our residential community (including ordained Buddhist monks and nuns) and other class attendees and enjoy meaningful conversations with like-minded people. All of our meals are vegetarian with vegan and wheat-free options. We use fresh and local products as much as possible. These meals include a main dish, side dish and green salad and are serve-yourself. Our meals are lovingly cooked by volunteers.
Kadampa Meditation Center New York located in Sullivan County Catskills in Glen Spey, NY, is offering in person, live meditation classes, Buddhist meditation retreats and meditation workshops, for all levels of interest and experience, beginner friendly meditation classes, silent retreats and Buddhism courses. The fight against climate change and the fight for justice are often treated as separate. Rhiana Gunn-Wright discusses why this is a mistake. There can be no social justice in a world wrecked by climate change; and we cannot stop climate change without politics and policy that put justice at their center.
Rhiana Gunn-Wright is a Senior Fellow at the Roosevelt Institute and chief policy architect of the Green New Deal—a policy framework that puts justice at the center of climate action. She crafted the GND by helping to bring together environmental justice leaders, labor leaders, and leaders of the traditional environmental movement to find consensus and build a new coalition.
