Downed Utility Pole Keeps Route 52 Closed
state transportation officials gave a new time estimate for re-opening
Route 52 between Blackburn Avene and Dallis Place in Beacon is still closed due to a utility pole and wires that came down early Thursday morning.
State transportation officials said the utility company was on the scene, making repairs. The original estimate that the road would reopen by noon has been extended. They estimate it could be complete by 5 p.m.
