EAST FISHKILL, NY — A major company has completed the acquisition of property in East Fishkill that will house a 150,000-square-foot fulfillment center.

East Fishkill Supervisor Nicholas D'Alessandro announced Wednesday that Rolling Frito-Lay Sales LP finalized the purchase of the site in the newly developed iPark 84 mixed-use area.

When the $100 million investment is complete, the new fulfillment center is expected to create 80 construction jobs and 80 full-time jobs and incorporate enhanced distribution technologies to serve Frito-Lay's northeast retail customers.

D'Alessandro said this was very exciting news, and the town was thrilled to Frito-Lay build in the community.

"This development fits perfectly with East Fishkill's aggressive economic redevelopment plans," he said. "Over the past several years, I have put forward initiatives that entice companies like Amazon and Frito-ay and many others to locate their businesses in East Fishkill.

"This not only helps East Fishkill but the whole Hudson Valley," D'Alessandro said.

Construction on the site, which is located between Interstate 84 and Route 52 in the town of East Fishkill, will begin in 2022, according to a spokeswoman. The facility is expected to be operational in 2024.

Hiring for the new jobs — at an average wage of $50,000 per year — will begin in 2023 with start-up anticipated in 2024.

Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro said bringing Frito-Lay to the county will further its logistics and manufacturing significance in the northeast.

"The region will benefit from new jobs, and locally the county, town and school district will benefit from new tax dollars," with the added benefit of eliminating a long-vacant and blighted site, he said.

"Moreover, Frito-Lay's commitment to sustainability, and diversity and inclusion will provide social, environmental and economic benefits for years to come," Molinaro said.

IPark 84, located at Exit 50 of I-84, is the former IBM East Campus in East Fishkill. It is situated on 300-acres of land with over 2 million square feet of buildings.
