I-84, Taconic Parkway Ramps To Close For Paving Work

Motorists should follow the posted detours and are urged to slow down in work zones.

DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY — Ramps along Interstate 84 and the Taconic State Parkway will be closed to allow for paving — weather permitting.

The state Department of Transportation said the following ramps will be closed between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 5 and Thursday, July 6 to accommodate paving work:

  • Interstate 84 eastbound and westbound ramps to Exit 52 (Taconic State Parkway) in the Town of East Fishkill
  • Taconic State Parkway northbound and southbound ramps to Exit 37 (Interstate 84) in the Town of East Fishkill
  • Taconic State Parkway northbound and southbound ramps at Exit 47 (State Route 55) in the Town of LaGrangeville
  • Taconic State Parkway southbound ramp at Taste of New York in the Town of LaGrangeville

Motorists should follow the posted detours and are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of a driver's license.
