Obituary: Michael Nuzzolese, 66, Goshen Mayor

GOSHEN, NY — The mayor of the village of Goshen died Saturday following a long illness.

Michael Nuzzolese, 66, had been mayor for four years, after retiring as the village's superintendent of public works.

Nuzzolese served as an active member in the Goshen Fire Department's Dikeman Engine & Hose Company #3 for more than 40 years.

He is survived by Alice B. Nuzzolese, his wife, Josephine Nuzzolese, his mother, two sisters and three children and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St. in Goshen.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 71 Murray Ave. in Goshen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dikeman Engine and Hose, Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties or the American Cancer Society–Hope Lodge.
