POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — With Gov. Kathy Hochul's announcement that the state indoor mask mandate would be lifted, with some exceptions, the Poughkeepsie Galleria said it would not require them effective Thursday.

Visitors to the mall should remember, however, that individual venue rules may differ, and some businesses may still require masks for everyone, according to a spokesperson.

"We are very pleased that the State of New York and the surrounding region continue to make progress rebounding from the pandemic," a statement from the mall said.
