37-Year-Old Dies After Being Repeatedly Stabbed, Attacker At-Large

Authorities said they are not releasing the identity of the knife attack victim until the family can be notified.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — A Mount Vernon man who arrived at the hospital late Thursday night, after having been repeatedly stabbed, has died.

Mount Vernon police opened an investigation into the fatal stabbing and investigators from the Major Case Unit have linked the attack to a crime scene at Union Avenue and East Third Street.

Police officials said that there are not yet any supects connected to the murder investigation in custody. Authorities are not releasing the identity of the knife attack victim until the family can be notified.

Police are asking anyone with information about the fatal stabbing to contact the MVPD Detective Division at 914-665-2510. Police say all calls will be kept confidential. Anonymous tips can also be sent via MVPD's "Text-A-Tip" by texting "MVPD" and the tip to 847411. Information can also be sent anonymously using the "Mount Vernon PD" app, available in the Google Play and Apple stores.
