Join us for HaHa for Hope on Friday, September 6th, 6pm-9pm at Red Barn Cidery, featuring Tom Cotter, Runner Up from America's Got Talent Season 7! 
Tickets ($75) include entrance to the comedy show featuring Tom Cotter, Dave Saitzyk, Dan DiMarino, Eric Albert, &amp; Monty Mason, one flight of hard cider, and light food fare. Discounts available for group ticket orders (see flyer). 
Proceeds will support patient programs and staff initiatives at Helen Hayes Hospital through the Helen Hayes Hospital Foundation.

Wednesday Bingo
Doors open at 5:30 pm and play starts at 7:30 pm. Games are open to the public.
Packages are priced at $42, $35 and $25 plus $2 admission. They include nine games with other games available for purchase including Quickies, two progressive bonanza jackpots and nightly specials. Games end at approximately 10 pm.
Sunday Bingo
Doors open at 5 pm and play starts at 7 pm. Admission is $1 plus a $5 Quickies book purchase. Games include specials and Quickies. Games end at approximately 9:30 pm.
All game boards are paper with electronic verification. Pre-packaged snacks, beverages and bingo supplies are available for purchase.

Bingo is played in the Pearl River temple’s climate-controlled, ground-level social hall which has cushioned seating. The room is brightly lit and has its own sound system. The building is handicapped accessible with a well-lit parking lot.

Haverstraw Riverwide Arts and the Village of Haverstraw celebrate diverse culinary options with the 10th Annual Haverstraw Crawl Eats and Beats. 20+ restaurants. $5-$10 per plate. (RAIN OR SHINE)&nbsp;No tickets are required. Free live outdoor music by The Amish Outlaws (3:30pm-5pm), and Brianna Knight in the Craft Beer Garden On Broadway @Main. Joshy the Magician, Lali the Clown, face painters, and balloon twister for the kids. The Crawl begins in front of the Webster Bank lot, 38 New Main St. Food Crawl maps will be handed out to guide attendees throughout the downtown area. Stop at the NY CRAFT BEVERAGE GARDEN on Broadway and Main during your restaurant visit. This outdoor garden will feature local craft beer by Sing Sing Kill Brewery, Stony Point Brewing Co., Stone Yard Brewing, Rockland Cider Works. For the first time, we will showcase liquor from Black Button Whiskey, Hudson House Vodka, and Rock Valley Distillery Gin. 21 and up to enter. ID required. The NY Waterway Ferry will run 12-6pm during the Crawl between Haverstraw and Ossining. A free shuttle will pick visitors up from the Haverstraw landing and drop them off across from Village Hall, 40 New Main St., though the event is walkable along West Street to Downtown (6 blocks north - 12 minutes). Drop-off and pick-up during the Crawl is located at 40 New Main St. Village Hall, Haverstraw. Though the Crawl is from 1-5pm, the last ferry from Haverstraw to Ossining will leave at 8:20pm. The last shuttle from Village Hall to the ferry is 6pm. We expect large crowds so please plan accordingly. Parking: Across from Village Hall, 40 New Main St., and 56 Broad St. in the Knights of Columbus lot. New Main, Main, West St and Broadway @ Main st will be closed to vehicular traffic. Parking is also available on side streets.

TRACING THE LINE OF BEAUTY The History of Cursive Handwriting
When: Thursday, September 19, 2024, 7:00 pm SHARP Where: Lower-level Community Room, HSRC History Center, 20 Zukor Road, New City Price: $5/person (Space is limited, and reservations are required; includes admission to the 2024 Quilt Exhibition) In this illustrated lecture, Mark Wright will give us a look at the development of the teaching and use of script writing, starting in the 1600s, with an emphasis on the teaching of handwriting in the 19th century in the United States and United Kingdom. He will look at some examples of historical documents relevant to Rockland County history in his presentation.
About the presenter: Mark Wright has been writing 19th century-style script since 1961. He studied Slate letter carving and letter engraving in England with British masters. Applying handwriting analysis, he discovered missing Thoreau manuscripts in Concord, Massachusetts. Now retired, Mark taught English, humanities, film study, and creative writing at Northern Valley Regional High School in Demarest, New Jersey.
