2 Steal Car In New Hyde Park: Police

The car owner tracked their vehicle and found it unoccupied in Brooklyn, police say.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A car stolen in New Hyde Park early Monday was found in Brooklyn, Nassau police said.

Two people in dark clothing stole a black 2022 Subaru Ascent Touring from the driveway of a home on Park Circle around 4:40 a.m., police said. The two drove away in the stolen Subaru east toward Sperry Boulevard, police said. The Subaru owner was able to track the car through their cell phone, and the unoccupied car was recovered on East 57th Street in East Flatbush, police said.

Detectives said they are looking for the thieves but have no description of them.
