Discover Nocturnal Animals at Sands Point Preserve

A live animal presentation featuring nighttime critters.

Family winter activities continue at Sands Point Preserve on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., when children and their caregivers learn all about nocturnal critters at a live animal presentation.

At this event, children will discover which animals are nocturnal, and consider that some people believe that dinosaurs were nocturnal. We will look at the features animals need to search for food in the dark. And we will examine where nocturnal animals spend the daylight hours. At this live animal show, the nocturnal critters will be staying up past their bedtimes to show off why the night time is their time.

The program is held at the original Guggenheim Estate, where membership helps protect the site’s historic buildings and grounds.
