Man Broke Into 3 Businesses In New Hyde Park, Floral Park: Police

He burglarized the businesses in July 2022, police say.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — An Amityville man was arrested in connection with multiple commercial burglaries, Nassau police said Wednesday.

Aaron Mckelvey, 26, broke into businesses in New Hyde Park and Floral Park between 10:30 a.m. and 7:52 p.m. on July 6, 2022, police said. Mckelvey was accused of breaking into the following locations, police said:

  • Innercity Plumbing & Heating, at 22 Vanburen Ave., Floral Park.
  • Total Wireless, at 401 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park.
  • EMAX Computers, at 516 Cherry Lane, New Hyde Park.

Mckelvey was charged with five counts of third-degree burglary and one count of fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was arraigned on Tuesday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
