Man Robbed Of Car At Gunpoint After Nassau Crash: Police

The robbers rear-ended his car and demanded the keys as one of them held a gun to the driver, police say.

NORTH HILLS, NY — A man was robbed of his car at gunpoint in North Hills early Monday, Nassau police said.

A 23-year-old was driving his white 2022 four-door BMW eastbound on the Long Island Expressway near exit 36 when he was rear-ended by a black BMW with an unknown registration around 12:20 a.m., police said.

Both vehicles pulled to the shoulder of the roadway, police said. At least four occupants got out of the black BMW, police said. One of them pointed a handgun at the man and demanded his keys, police said. The man gave them the keys and the robbers drove away in both BMWs, police said. No injuries were reported, and detectives are looking for the robbers, police said.
