Man's Car Stolen In Nassau Beatdown: Police

Three men pulled a man out of his car, attacked him, and stole the vehicle, police say. They are wanted for robbery.

ELMONT, NY — A man was attacked and robbed of his car by three men in Elmont, Nassau police said.

A man, 60, was getting in his car in front of his Fieldmere Street home around 5:40 a.m. Wednesday when three men he did not know dragged him from his car, police said. The trio threw him to the ground and began kicking and punching him, causing minor injuries, police said.

One of the men got in the man's gray 2022 Honda CRV, while the other two entered their black 2011-2019 Toyota Camry, police said. Both cars drove southbound on Fieldmere Street towards 106th Avenue, police said.

The man who was attacked was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation, police said.

Police do not have a further description of the three men as of Wednesday afternoon. They are wanted for robbery.

Detectives asked anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or to call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
