New Rochelle, NY – Hudson Park Children’s Greenhouse invites families and young nature enthusiasts to join our exciting fall classes at 44 Wildcliff Road, New Rochelle, NY. Sign up today at www.hpcgreenhouse.org Classes are for children age 5 years through middle school.

Embark on a desert adventure in our "Desert Oasis" class! Dive into the enchanting world of succulents and cacti as students explore their unique characteristics and learn to distinguish between these resilient plant families. Guided by an expert instructor, young botanists will harness their creativity to craft stunning desert dioramas using cacti and succulents. From spiky landscapes to lush oases, students will bring their own miniature desert ecosystems to life, ready to thrive in any space. Join us for a hands-on journey through arid landscapes and botanical wonders! Students will take home their desert dioramas. Fee: $20.00

  • Art in Motion: Children's Pour Painting Classes

Date: Sunday, September 8th & Sunday, September 15th, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

“Two Sessions Available” - Join us for a fun and creative "Pour Painting" class at Hudson Park Children’s Greenhouse!

Pour painting, also known as fluid art, is a mesmerizing technique where artists pour acrylic paint onto a surface and tilt it to create beautiful, flowing designs using gravity. This process allows the paint to form intricate puddles, pools, and marble-like patterns, resulting in unique and captivating artwork. $15.00

  • Unraveling DNA: Strawberry Science Exploration*

Date: Saturday, September 14th, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Join us for an exciting and educational journey into the world of genetics with our "Strawberry DNA Extraction" class! Under the expert guidance of Stephen Soltish from the 4-H Youth and Family Development Program, students will dive into hands-on science as they mash strawberries to release their DNA. Through simple chemistry, they'll extract and observe the strands of DNA with the naked eye, learning about the fascinating world of genetics in the process. (4-H Class) $15.00

  • Tree Journals: Exploring the Life of Trees*

Date: Saturday, September 21st, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Join us for an immersive journey into the world of trees with our "Tree Journals" class! Students will create their own journals while studying the fascinating biology and anatomy of local trees. Through hands-on activities, they'll craft beautiful artwork from tree disks, make stunning sun prints using leaves, pinecones, and twigs, and create detailed rubbings of various tree textures. This class offers a unique blend of science and creativity, allowing students to connect with nature and develop a deeper appreciation for the trees in our area. (4-H) $15.00
